Welcome to Morrison. This is a home rule town. The population is 430 (2000 census). Red Rocks Theater is located in Morrison. A builder and stonemason developed this town. They began lime and gypsum businesses. Many of the buildings of Morrison are a part of the national register of historic places.

Dinosaur remains were discovered in the area of Morrison. A regional geological layer of the late Jurassic age was discovered. The finding was named the Morrison Formation. This was the first discovery of the site for these dinosaurs. Many fossils were, also, found. Adults and children may see the museums that display these fossils as interesting. A trip to Morrison may include the exploration of the museum dinosaur findings. School field trips may include a trip to this museum.
